The Whistler Children's Art Festival gets creative and crafty in Whistler's Creekside July 11-12, 2009! Is YOUR business ready?

For 26 years, the Whistler Children's Art Festival has provided a fun and supportive atmosphere for children to embrace their imaginations with hands-on art workshops, creation stations, national childrens' performers, acrobatics, music, puppetry, fantastical characters and family fun!

This year, the festival is celebrating Canada's cultural mosaic to honour Whistler's designation as a 2009 Cultural Capital of Canada. Artists and performers from across the country will join the festival to pump up the fun, rock the valley and create magic all in the name of Canada! Entertainers include Charlotte Diamond, Inner Ring Circus, Will Stroet, Ta Daa Lady and the Bhangra Footedge Dancers.

The Whistler Dragon Boat Festival comes to Whistler July 4-5! Is YOUR business ready?

Spend the weekend on Alta Lake with beating drums, fierce paddling, cheering spectators, and live entertainment. This second annual Whistler Dragon Boat Festival will feature a new paddlers' party, vendors, DRYfit tech shirts for participants and various awards including a team spirit award and medals. Race proceeds go to Whistler Animals Galore.

Canada Day is celebrated Whistler style on July 1, 2009! Is YOUR business ready?
The Whistler Chamber invites all Whistler businesses and community groups to join in the celebration this year by entering a float into the parade. The Parade begins at noon and makes for a great team-building opportunity - gather your staff or friends and create a one-of-a-kind float for a chance to showcase your business or group to the expected 6000 locals and guests who will be lining the Village Stroll on July 1. Come out and show your national pride, or help us celebrate ours. Parade route and full day schedule to be announced.
